Architects and construction professionals often specify products with safety features such as laminated glass to achieve specific results on performance, safety and aesthetics since it offers multiple makeup combinations. This integration of elements and processes may present conditions that require to take in consideration to prevent unrealistic quality expectations.

A uniform visual appearance is not always possible with laminated glass. This is especially critical for makeup’s that integrate multiple tempered or heat strengthen glass layers. The multiple heating and cooling processes used in the strengthening and laminating fusion procedures can cause the glass optical deviation and raise distortion issues.

It is recommended to use annealed glass when optical features are of great value to minimize the distortion factors and the use of heat strengthened glass when safety features supersede such as safety, burglary resistant, sound control, ultra violet filtration, etc. For additional details and technical information please consult PRL.
